COMMUNITY
When we’re not working on boats, you’ll often find the crew of Emerald Harbor out on the water playing on boats, either our own or a friend’s. We can’t seem to get enough! And when we’re not working or playing on boats ourselves, we like to support these wonderful programs.
Adventuress
We are enthusiastic supporters of the youth training programs Sound Experience gives aboard the historic schooner Adventuress, offering technical expertise, assistance with equipment selection and vendor choices. We enjoy the incredible benefit of sailing and working aboard her over these past 35 years.
Downtown Sailing Series
We’ve been proud supporters of the Downtown Sailing Series since its inception and continue to be; we love their mission of getting boaters out on the water for more fun!
Oar NW
Emerald was delighted to assist Oar NW’s crew in outfitting their ocean-going rowboat as they prepared for their record-breaking row across the Atlantic in 2006. We loved the enthusiasm for adventure, exploration and education this group embodied and exuded and we’ve forged lifelong friendships with the original crew (two of whom afterwards came to work with Emerald) and their subsequent crews.
